I like the overall sound very much. The balances feel good to me You have nicely tamed the high frequencies. Sound feels smooth to me. If one must find the weakest link in this mix, it's the bass to me. I wonder if there's too much sub-energy with bass? The bass sounds little odd here and there. For example around 0:34. I like the way that drum sits in this mix. My favorite part in your mix is the smooth vocal sound.

I feel the high frequencies got tamed a little too much here; the vocal sounds good but the guitars and mandolins in particular suffer from a bit of a muddy feel. Did you roll off high frequencies on them? If so I'd dial back on that a little. (19-05-2014, 07:30 AM)Olli H Wrote: If one must find the weakest link in this mix, it's the bass to me. I agree in part. It was a little high in the mix but I loved the nice, thick sound of it. I'd say all you really have to do is bring it down 2 or 3 dB and it'll play nicer with all the other tracks, but in and of itself it sounds great to me.

Bass is pretty heavy and unbalanced, otherwise a nice mix...
