Voelund: Comfort Lives In Belief
#11
Made some final adjustments based on your suggestions. Moving on after this.

-adjusted both the reverb pre delay and tail length (can't go any shorter on the tail length)
-raised the HP/LC on the main bus from 50 to 70
-raised 3.55k peak 1.5 db with a Q of .53 on the bus
-did not adjust sends as it really didn't help.
-in my IMHO I think the bass could be lowered just a bit, as I think it gets in the way a little, but I left it as is in the first tweak

Thank you! I'll give you and John my impressions on your mixes in the next few days. In the mean time, please check out my mix of Street Noise's Revelations.

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of this mix. I do love the wide stereo image you have going on here, with the guitars panned wide, and the Hammond sounds excellent (too bad it wasn't a little further forward). I also wonder what happened to the kick drum; there's no weight to it at all here. I'm of the opposite opinion of yourself; more bass would have been better.

Still, the mix has it's charms. It does bring out the low frequency weight in Voelund's voice, which is pretty cool I'll admit, and despite the lack of bass it's not overly harsh and reasonably pleasant on the ears. Smile
