The bass is a bit overpowering.

Hello

Yes the bass is a little loud, but then also all the other instruments are really quiet and small and thin.
You have good vocal sound (well not the delay fx) and you should mix other instruments to match that and the guitar solo to take it place.
To me it sounds like the lead vocal is in front of me but guitar solo is miles away. OK I exaggerate Wink
Practice your analytic listening skills.
Listen others mixes and give feedback.
Become a better mixer.
