Hi everyone I've just discovered this resource what a great idea to practice and critic mixing together online.

That's a really nice mix you have there, Rob. I love the 'snap' you have on the snare drum.
Only one comment to make on my personal preferences, so please take it with a pinch of salt:
The kick drum is a bit less present for the level of the snare - but it's no biggie... really. I think this 'finding' is being driven more by doing many years of front of house mixing where the 'holy trinity' of kick snare and vocals are observed in terms of apparent equal 'loudness'. As said.... it's no biggie. I think you've done a grand job. The mix sounds great here :o)

Welcome to the fun I agree, this is a very nice mix. My only suggestion would be to compress the lead vocal peaks a bit more and maybe reduce the snare level just a tad.

Great feedback guys you're both right. Bit more limiting on the vox and less snare would be good.
