"Revelations" Mix - a little modern attempt
#1
Here is my Mix of this great Song.

I tried to make it sound a little bit more modern and listened to a lot of Graveyard during Mixing Big Grin

Its not an authentic 70s Mix, but its my idea of how it could sound.

Actually, for a mix you introduce as "not authentic 70s," it sure sounds authentic to me. It's a lot closer to an authentic 70s sound than the last mix I reviewed. In fact, it's maybe a little TOO authentic with the mild tape saturation-like distortion present on the drums. However, that too has its charm; it helps remind one of the great recordings of the 70s and yet this recording still has much less noise and better high frequency definition than most recordings mixed on equipment of the era.

I must say I love your choice of vocal reverb here. My mix of this was fairly dry (there was a reverb there but it was subtle) but your reverb has that old 60s/70s rock feel while simultaneously giving the whole mix a sense of opened up space. Smile
