Peter mix (hardware test)
#1
Just went to a new room and I'm setting up my hardware (summing mixer, Pultec clone, 1176 clone, SSL clone).

I still have to treat my room a bit, and it seems I have less highs than the reference mix (just listened after my mix was done). Still some work to do!

Peter.

I'm sorry but I don't have that kind of equipment so no need to take this feedback too seriously Smile

Here in my living room with my home theater speakers (sorry, can't tell the manufacture or the model) Wink
It sounds that vocals are little low and hh and oh are little too high.
For vocals it might be enough to just boost a little presence. It get a little better during chorus, but I would still bring them more up front.
Or maybe a ducker to other tracks or buses and sidechain driven by the voc group.
That drumstick part around 3:00 sound really unnatural. It isn't in the same space as the rest of the drums or band.
Practice your analytic listening skills.
Listen others mixes and give feedback.
Become a better mixer.
