This collection of songs is some of the most fun I've had in mixing so far! The multitracker style of recording ended up being a creative inspiration in my mixing process.
I found all the layers of vocals to be a little difficult to work with, but some careful compression and automation kept it sounding consistent and clear. The J37 from Waves was my best friend. Just about every track was passed through it subtlety, with the bass and drums getting a larger amount of saturation and bias.
Automation helped a lot with energy management into and out of choruses. Things like pumping the drums up on entrances and boosting reverb sends on the tail of choruses.
