I like how you've chosen to juice up the drums a bit, kick sounds thick and so does the snare, although the snare sounds too "metal" now. I had the same issue, where I ended up choosing a snare sample that sounded great to me, but when I stepped away and listened, it was too heavy for the song, so I substituted for a different sample. You're overall balance is pretty cool though, nice!
