I don't buy into the all outboard/all ITB thing at all. In this particular case, ITB offers you some options, that help a lot! But do, what is comfortable for you. Just don't state it to get some kind of bonus, because to me the difference is in the mixer and not his tools.

Anyway, your balance decisions seem rather strange to me. The vocals and the snare are completly disconnected with the rest of the parts.

The snare has a rather wooden timbre to it. I had the sound of chopping trees in mind the second I first heared it. It might need more "crack".

The overdriven guitars sound rather week and a bit phasy/hollow. That is the part, where ITB could really help. If you haven't yet, go and find Mike's article about this song on the Sound on Sound website.
