Thanks so much for the feedback Dave. I've upped a 2nd mix based on your thoughts.

You were dead right about the snare. Had a listen back and couldn't believe how deep it was. It had a terrible sound so I think that's why I hid it. Re-did it there and made it sound decent, bumped it in the mix and now everything from the solo onwards has much more life.

I've seen a lot of people on the forum dislike the 2nd Gtr and hide it away a bit in the mix. I actually like it quite a lot but totally get what you mean. I find that both guitars fight each other if they're not mixed right. I added parallel compression to the main Gtr and it enters at the same time the second Gtr comes in. I decided I'd low pass it too, just so I could crank it and fill that bottom end without adding too much information into the already crowded high end. Very subtle, but adds that extra weight and consistency that it was lacking
