W O W, the verses sound thiiiick, it could be a Weezer or Teenage Fan Club mix!

In the choruses things get sort of a all over the place fell, but that's the arrangement. I think the band should have kept at least one rhythm guitar playing all thru those sections. Sadly, it makes the choruses look smaller than the verses. I'm trying to fight this and make less of a contrast between verse/refrain, but it's hard.

And the other parts, (break, solo and last wheel), they just sound huge! I loved that little "bomb" at 3:21!

Thanks Deliza! Yes, the song has quite a different long term dynamic to what has become par for the course in rock music pretty much since 1991 - ie: "quiet verse/exploding chorus".

It's almost the polar opposite in a lot of ways... more "driving, contained verse/floating, expanding, ethereal chorus. To my mind, the chorus didn't get "smaller" even though maybe the instrumental intensity didn't necessarily ratchet up a notch. I was thinking "widescreen/technicolor" for the choruses, rather than harder-hitting/bigger/better/faster/more.

I kind of revelled in that difference and tried to celebrate it, rather than trying to make it into something it wasn't... Of course, the most important thing is to have a firm vision and goal for the mix - that usually works!

Probably the biggest challenge (as I remember it) in this song was to get some energy from the snare while still retaining a natural, organic sound...

Thanks again for listening and commenting!

Excellent work! The sound is very good, the panorama is perfect. Technical data (RMS, Peak...) - normal. But unfortunately, there are distortions in the last chorus. But a little bit...
P.S. It is possible that this is a distortion of the MP3 format at high levels.

I haven't heard this song yet. This makes me think of the band Moon Taxi. Really sweet mix, man that bass/low end is nice and round. Great job!
