This is a fun track. Great takes for the most part with a few interesting catches...

1. Drums. The overheads are interesting... too much of the skins and not enough cymbal, which is pretty much the opposite of what you want in this kind of metal. The toms are also interesting. I could work harder to clean them up and make them punch harder to work as they should here, but the mic placement is not ideal and not the same across all of the toms. They should probably be sample enhanced or replaced.

2. Bass. Soooo much low end. Hard to keep the punch and the articulation of the notes.

Other than these things, this was a really fun one to have a go on. Let me know your thoughts on everything!

cool mix man! this is pretty similar to how I would do it, imo
I had the exact same thoughts about the stems. Bass is hard to get some good definition so like you I went with a lot of presence and cut on the guitars. The overheads 100%. I wish there was more cymbal info and less shells. I might try doing a more overheads oriented drum sound and see how that works.
