I’m listening to your mix on the grotboxes in my office right now, and I have a couple of comments:
  • The bass is almost unhearable; this may in large part be the fault of the speakers but you could try adding some harmonics to make them stand out more on quality-challenged speakers. Smile
  • Sometimes, mostly at drum fills, the drums are a bit too loud and overpower more important instruments.
  • The snare has a resonance ringing that I don’t like. Smile
Apart from that it’s a very nice mix already!
Most mixes done in Reaper or Bitwig on a MacBook Pro using Sony MDR-7506 headphones and some hifi system with old Saba speakers in a small-ish untreated room. If I commented on your mix, please check the board for my mix and reciprocate. :) Thank you!
