Hi guys,
this was one of the very first songs I tried to mix a while ago. I listened to it again more recently, and I was honestly horrified, so I thought I should give it another try
Anyway, despite being a bit more experienced, I've still found this piece pretty hard to mix. I was particularly annoyed with the super bright (I would say quite unnatural) cymbals, and then I didn't know how much to brighten the guitars to make them fit properly. Also the bass playing was very inconsistent and hard to manage. As you can see, I then limited it pretty hard on the master bus, although I don't usually do that, because I felt it was calling for it.
At the end, I'm quite happy with the drums and the vocals, but I'd love to know your opinion.
