Wow, there's a lot to balance in this mix.

I went for a darker, slightly more 80's kind of vibe than the mixes I've heard people post so far. Maybe too dark in places. I wanted to avoid this sounding like Cold Play, and wanted to steer it more in the direction of Television.

It's really interesting how different people have highlighted different parts, there's so many to choose from that it's easy to change the whole vibe of the song.

My aim was to blend the overall melody and particularly to highlight where the drummer plays off the other instruments. I went for an orchestral approach of coagulating parts into a whole, rather than a rock approach of clean separation in the sound stage. Keeping the energy building was important too.

Sounds great! Some build up between 2.5-3.0k near the ending, but the ending is an unholy mess anyways. Good mixing. ^_^
