Stop and Rise :
#1
Hello all,

First nice song , good job from the band, the production come better and better with the new song.
I try an in your face mix , challenging to have only the DI GTR but very interesting to produce the song.

All comment are welcome , not a perfect mix , need some tweek.

Have a good day!!

EDIT V2:
I made some change :
main bus : less compression and some change in eq
drum : add another snare drum with room
working on break volume, fx and velocity to give more feeling
GTR: Amp sim for the first part : more crunchy and not heavy gtr like my first version
other gtr : less agressive, mainly cut about 1,5k and less clipping
and some change in automation volume

Hey man !

Hmm maybe a bit too heavy at the start ? Guitars and cymbals are very aggressive but not in the good way. Too much harshness and compression for drums. The overheads pump everywhere ^^

I like the FX you put here and there, but maybe a little bit too obvious ? Except for the 3d verse where you used the telephone FX nicely.

Keep it up Smile

HI Mandubien !!!

I listen back my mix and i'm agree the average mix is too harsh , too agressive. Not good to mix too late.
I want a mix punchy and full but it's like to turn the volume at 11 Wink You know what i mean.
I think i hit too hard the transformer and my buss chain is too agressive too.
And the intro yes maybe i was a little optimistic to put heavy sound from the beginning !!
I wil try to revise my mix this week end

I like your ideas ,as already mentioned could be hitting the master limiter a little hard !

Guy let me know how you feel the change between the 2 version !!
I love the dynamic of the 2nd version but like the feeling of my first version..

V2 much more pleasing to my ears. V1 seemed to suffer from some strident guitar and cymbal tones that have tamed down in V2. Very solid mix. Well done
