My First Mix (where I really tried to do a good job)

I really loved this song, so I spent a few hours on this. Please let me know what you think. I've recorded my own songs and mixed them, but this is the first time I've tried to do it with a song I didn't record.

Hey mate,

You can tell you've put a lot of time and effort in this mix. Just a couple of notes:
The balance between left and right is a bit off. I'm not sure if you're aware but it seems like your vocal sub is panned like a good amount to the left.
Also it seems like you've had a few troubles with boxy drums. Which wouldn't be a problem if you're going for that. You could try cutting a big smiley face in the eq of the group at about 500hz and then boosting the lows and highs (use your ears).

Also are you using reference tracks? If not, you would definitely find it so much easier and quicker to mix if you had a reference track of the same genre. It cuts out the guess work.

But honestly, I can tell you've definitely worked hard on this mix. Great work!
