This is a song that just really wanted to mix. I listened to the sample mix that Mike provides in the main section where the downloads are located and there was something about this one that I really wanted to tackle it.

There were some challenges in that the bass had a very distorted thing going on as well as an apparent octave thing printed on it. Also, as much as I tried I just couldn't get that kick the way I wanted so I did in fact sound-replace the kick. Doing that just opened up the song for me to make the bass work a bit better. The guitars I did some effects in places. I used a convolution reverb as needed as an insert. What else.....Oh, the lead vocal was recorded really nice....really clear and every consonant pronounced perfectly.....a pleasure to mix the vocal....it just sits in there nice without doing much of anything once the siblance and dynamics are controlled a bit, etc.
