Duty and Memories
#1
I think this is really two different songs.

Mostly I think of "Tom Sawyer" by Rush.

Then I think of the band Garbage.

No Automation

Drum replacement and blending with the original

Ambient FX and filters

Thats it.

Feedback welcome.

Sounds pretty well balanced ,maybe a touch more top end smack on the snare .
Just listened to "Tom Sawyer" by Rush on youtube

Even though it is compressed loosy format sounds much cleaner and punchier ,I need to start again Blush

More smack can't be a bad thing. Maybe I give it a go. Thanks for your feedback. My mix is by no means perfect but its a start.

Things uploaded to You Tube are compressed differently than other formats like i-Tunes and Spotify. (I believe) These days mastering engineers will make specific masters depending on the format it will be used. Just like they do for radio, vinyl or TV. because the broadband vary.

I don't think you need to start over with your mix but instead approach it like a new session and make the appropriate adjustments.

I've noticed that with perpetual escapes material the guitars and drums sound dark to begin with and its always a challenge to make them sound modern without making them sound out of place.
