Eliza Jane Mixed by Doug
#1
I took James' advice on this mix and played around with the arrangement a bit, during the intro the bass, acoustic guitar and slide guitar are the only instruments playing. The bass drops out for part of the first verse and then comes back in during the second half of the verse just before the chorus. During the first turnaround the mandolins come in, from then on there really isn't any change.

Mix wise there's some minor automation and all the tracks are routed through one Room reverb via RVerb. Some eq and some compression on the bass and drums to even them out a touch and I used a stereo widener on the mix buss to slightly widen the mix.

Cheers,
Doug

Mixing is way more art and soul than science. We don’t really know what we’re doing. We do it because we love music! It’s the love of music first. Eddie Kramer
