Jet B Suit You-Yoshi-Mix
#11
Hi Yoshi,

I feel there is too much clipping of sorts also. I would really love a version of this mix tamed back a bit. I believe there are some good qualities underneath. What do you think?

I agree that overall it's a bit distorted and limited. My biggest issue is the lead vocal. It feels a little thin and dry. It's such a big, rock song that the vocals have to match that intensity.

Hi Dave

Thanks for your comment.
I started studying from last October due to the necessity of DAW.
DAW is a beginner level.
This year, I discovered the existence of Cambridge music technology.
Currently, it is the period of learning I am not making a completed figure
The content of current learning is to learn the characteristics of EQ at high volume
I think that it is effective for making vocals and musical instruments that can listen firmly. I Think I Think .......
I think it is easy to lower the volume
Distortion is lost by lowering the volume or compressing it
This attempt is entering the final stage
I think that I will make works with correct volume
Thereafter, compression, reverb delay, etc.,

Always thank you for your impressions and advice
Thank you very much

Yoshi

Hi Roy

Always, Thanks for the advice
I usually listen to jazz, pop, country, classical, R & B and mix
Hard rock and metal have no opportunity to listen
So, the sound image of hard rock and metal is not in my brain
For study, I did mix of Suit You, Hammer Down
I am learning from the opinions of Cambridge Music Technology members
And I am very grateful to you
In the near future, I will make a final mixmastering, ver of this song
I will inform you when I post a work

Thank you very much

Hi Roy

Based on Roy's advice I made it
I am glad if I could fix even a bit
It seems that distortion still remains
I understand the solution

Hi Dave

I made tr3
I reduced distortion
There is still a little distortion
I understand the distortion tolerance of each department
Later, I will make it possible to produce works with an appropriate level balance

Thank you very much

Mix 3 in your brain! LOL.

I like it. All but the lead vox, which is too dry, IMHO. Other than that everything is good. Some interesting approaches which are cool.

Hi Mixinthecloud

Thanks for your feedback and advice
I improved the drying of vox
Still, my skills have not come to the stages of delay or reverb
However, I made it only by feeling

Thank you very much

Yoshi
