Perpetual Escape - Duty & Memories (Smart75)
#1
Very nice song, once again! I'm starting to like this band Big Grin

Mostly this is an experiment and a personal mini-challenge: new DAW (Presonus Studio One), only stock plugins (except for Sound Radix Auto-Align on drums and guitars), and headphones only!

It's not bad. I think the biggest thing that could help is panning out the rhythm guitars. Right now they feel centered and mask each other. Panning them out would give more room for the rest of the instruments. That would also allow for the guitars to come up a little and give more power to the overall mix.

Personally, I'd center the vocals.

Is there some modulation on the bass? I like it. It might have to come down a hair or at least have some 'tubbiness' cut out from it. But I'm on earsbuds and can't tell for sure.

Hope that helps.

Hey man !

Wow you have wayyyyy too much subs in your bass :p I like the tone you achieved but those subs creates a permanent hmmwwwvvv very disturbing.

I really like your vocal treatment.

As Roy said, don't hesitate to hard pan the guitars to give them separation.
