Hammer Down-Dark Rider

I found this a little tricky with the different vocal colors and trying to keep the guitar energy up while still keeping the vocals clear.

Hey Faders_up,

thank you for mixing our song. Did you read my faq?

The chorus effects on the vocals are very, very strange. The vocals are also a tad too loud, and the Background vocals are too loud throughout the whole song. They are only there to fatten up the main vocals and shouldn't be put in the spotlight.

The Drums would sound better if you bring up the room and therefore make the kit bigger and fatter. The reverb on the snare doesn't really gel with the rest of the kit. There is also something wrong with the doublebass parts - sounds like the kick is triggering the bus compressor too hard, especially in the first part of the solo. the melody guitar is not loud enough to act as a nice little counter part in the last part of the solo.

Overall it's a nice mix that needs a little bit of tweaking to really shine.

Thank you and keep up the good work,
Dirk
