Thank you Dave and Roy Matthews for your comments. Following up with the vocal comments, I think this song benefits from the least processing possible to make it as intimate and seductive as possible. The chain I used was EL Arousor to waves deesser to maag 4 eq. Gain reduction at most 3db in louder passages. in the sends for the lead vocals a delayed plate from lexicon very very subtle. the rest was automation. Remarkably, the U47 James used to record this track helped to compliment his voice and it was almost mix ready.
