I've tried mixing and mastering the wall of death - femme song, and could really use some feedback. I've mixed the song in Logic Pro X using stock plugins and one commercial plugin : "finality" for drums overall.
Then mastered it in logic afterwards as well using stock plugins:
Mulitmetering to inspect frequencies
Equalizer to bring up specific frequencies and damp out others
Exciter to bring out more presence
Multiband compressor to compress different ranges of frequencies
Stereo expander ( not very much )
Limiter to bring the volume to 0db
Multimetering in the end to inspect frequencies after master.
I would really appreciate some feedback, trying to train myself to record and mix some demos for my own band.
There's 2 versions, version 1 is the one as described here,
version 2 is another where i didn't use finality for drums and it's a bit darker in the mix.
