Brazillian Mix and a Request

What's up guys, girls and Blitzzz

Haven't got to the stage of automation yet (hence the vocals to low at the first verse) but really want to know what you guys think.

And Blitzzz, I saw the the drums were Superior Drummer, can you tell me which set you used? Did you worked with the velocities? I really thought it was a real drum really well recorded haha
Congrats on the guitars, pretty awesome tone!

It's the SDX-version of Metal Machine: http://www.toontrack.com/product/metal-machinery-sdx/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=019UQykJ0pM

That expansion is probably as close as you can get if you want a more or less unprocessed drum recording from Andy Sneap. If you really want to capture his sound and vibe, you also need to use the samples he regularly uses which are also provided with this SD2 expansion. I don't use SD2 anymore, but at that time it was my goto sample library.

My 2 cents: Vocals are to low and have too much reverb. They should be more upfront, "in your face" and should not feel so distant.

Thanks Blitzz, I've uploaded a new version, kicked a SSLComp with slow attack and fast release with 8db of gain reduction.

Also gave a notch at 4khz at the snare top in order to give a bit more presence.

Overall it's a great mix, as myself I see that you are in the right path. But for my personal taste, the second version has the back vocals too loud, they end up taking all the focus when they hit the ears. I think if you lower them just to make the main vocal fatter, then this mix will be a good one!
"Do what you love and you don't have to work a day."
I'm an amateur musician and producer, so don't take me too seriously.
Here you have my other mixes!
