Mandubien's mix
#1
Hey guys !

Fantastic song with fantastically well recorded tracks ! Man that snare drum is pure heaven !

I only used the second amp for the guitars. I found it to be less harsh and more usable.

I did not use any double track for the vocals.

Tell me what you think Smile

Cheers !

Hey Mandubien ,

Sounds Great here on my monitors ,one minor thing that stands out is the panned guitar sounds a touch dry and in a different space to the rest of the music and vocals, just personal taste me!

Well Done Big Grin

Hi Don !

Yeah those rhythm guitars are hard to make them sit well in the mix. I used a low pass filter down to 5K ! You're right, maybe more reverb will make them sound more in the back and leave place for the drums and bass. I'll try to fix that today.

Thanks for your feedback.

Okay, here's V2 with some changes :

- Band is a bit louder to help vocals to glue more
- drums and bass are louder
- rhythm guitars have a bigger reverb when playing with other instruments to make them sound more in the back

Super Mix Mandubien,

Great energy and clarity. Big drums and killer guitar tones. Organ part stands up nicely also. It's a tricky transition with the guitars as the organ solo starts and a difficult one to get sounding natural. You've done a great job.Big Grin
