Sweet. Very sweet. Your drums are excellent (especially the hi-hat) and I dig the environment you selected for them. I'm not quite sold on the location of the horns to the back left quadrant of the mix, though. They sound great but the canting to the left feels/sounds awkward to me. I also think the sax is a bit buried and yes I understand why, but the musical decisions of the player should be respected more, and if they screech and make your shoulders hunch a bit, well that may have been the intent. Tough call.
Overall, very sweet.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I'll take into account your suggestions and I'll see if I can improve it.

I've had another few listens to your mix today and I am happy to admit I am enjoying it more with each listen. There is a LOT of nuance I missed at the first read. So much so that I realized I had not given your mix its due. I am beginning to hear some Buddy Rich mix aesthetics for some reason. The more I listened to your mix the more it dawned on me that I was very familiar with your panning. Apparently, 30 years ago I had recorded a dixieland/jazz sextet with the exact same instrumentation as this song's and my panning was almost identical to yours based upon the players location on the stage as it was recorded. Certainly my placements are no where near as defined as yours, which makes your mix so enjoyable. If you'd like a listen I am adding a link to it on my Soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/mixinthecloud/sam...st/s-sErpx). The recording was made off of matrixes on a PM3000 console primarily running a mono house mix to a casino audience onto a TEAC cassette machine with Dolby C.

Anyway, thanks for the good work on this arrangement. I'm glad I came back for another listen.
