Anna Blanton - Waves
#1
difficult song to mix. Just like most people here, I've had to fix those timing issues but it's been a good exercise.

Feel free to comment and to give me your advice to improve my mix! thanks!

Hey juanjose1967, I think you have done a good job with controlling this one. The only thing I can think of is maybe lifting the electric guitar up a bit through the solo, possibly. Nice sound otherwise.

Aligning done well

Vox sound maybe a bit thin. I think with these tracks the vox is the number one, so make sure that it’s superb and that other tracks don’t disturb it.

Guitar sounds quite phasey. Maybe you could try a different stretching algorithm for those tracks.

Drums sound good

Violin good

Bass/kick balance could be more ”old time country”. I would try to make the bass a bit more audioble and kick just supportive

thank you for your comments!

I've tried to fix the issues you said. Now the guitar is louder during the solo part, the leadvox is less thin, and I've also given a slightly different tone to the guitar so it could sound better.

About the kick and bass, I've only lifted the bass a little bit. I just like they way it is.
