I might suggest doing your listening/playback at a lower level. At nominal playback I do not understand your balances.

Thanks for the feedback, I have been trying to keep the volume low (I have listened loud as well.) I'm not 100% sure I understand your answer I think you mean that the volume/pan of different parts is not good (a fundamental flaw for mixing I guess)

I'm gonna have another go and maybe check my reference track more often!

Sounds good for first time man Once guitar solo kicks in it's balanced nicely, but at other parts organ and other rhythmic guitars are a bit loud. To help your vocals poke through try using delay (like a slap) instead of a reverb, doesn't quite work for me in this mix.
