This is my mix of Hollow Ground's Left Blind.
I've always been inspired by the harsh distorted guitar sounds of grindcore giants Rotten Sound and Nasum. This multitrack session gave me great opportunity to tweak and have fun with the dry DI sound provided.
The guitar sounds were sculpted with the Waves GTR plugins (shipped with one of their bundles), other plugins include Focusrite Red series 3-Compressors and 2-Eqs. Some Waves IRLive and Trueverb reverbs were used.
For the stereo master buss compression I used Drawmer S73 emulation by Softube and the Waves L1+ wide band limiter as a finalizer processor, set to only mildly limit the highest peaks.
This is a headphone mix, so I could only guess how the low end will behave in a proper monitoring environment. Enjoy!
