Zwiepack - Sumertime [OH]
#1
Well played and nice sounding record! It was fund to work on this one!

It would be nice if you could leave some citicizm about my mix.
Dont be gentle Smile

This was my rough approch:
- Parallel compression and some transient shaping on the drums.
- Multiband on the bass, to control low end build up.
- EQ on the bass for more presence and additional compession to make it sound more even.
- Didn't really know how to handel the bass mics, because of the big bleed on them.
- Some EQ on the Sax for more presence plus gentle compression because I wanted to keep the dynamic.
- Slight reverb (plate convolution reverb) on sax mic 2 for more wideness.

Cheers
Ottmar

Well Done Ottmar,
Very enjoyable. Nice assembly and presentation. The only complaint I have is the drums sound a little distant and back of stage. Could do with drying up a little and brought up to match the ambience of the sax. Just a thought, Great balanced tone none the less.

Hey Dave,

Thx for the Reply! I'll try to dry up the drums a bit. I hope, I can solve this with playing with the overheads and the room mic faders.

Cheers
