I Am Cassettes: 'Believe' -- Mix

Hi guys. This is a very nice song with inspiring vocals and magnificent orchestration. I very much enjoyed working with it. Although it wasn't easy to fit everything in. I have surely sacrificed spectral range of many instruments, but nevertheless some of them got completely lost in the mix.

I wonder what techniques do you, guys, practice to make such heavy-loaded projects retain all the parts clear in the final sound?

Trying to find the right space for a harp and glockenspiel was extremely challenging indeed! I like your mix. I have noticed a lot of harshness in the high hat of a lot of the mixes of this song. Other than that I like your low end. The kick and bass were very well controlled. To my ears the snare seemed to carry on too long. But that's just my taste. I enjoyed the acoustic guitars a lot. Thanks for the upload! If you get a chance I would appreciate your take on my mix?! Thanks and keep up the good work.
