Dino On The Loose - Queens Light mix and master
#1
Hi there, this is my first mix on this forum. To introduce myself: I am Luc, from The Netherlands, I am a (non professional) musician as long as I can remember hahaha Big Grin I am 52 and you can still find me on stage now and then (drumming or keyboards)
The mix I call a rough mix while I only corrected things like the tom resonance and removing crap (not much crap in these tracks, great!) and gating. I DIDN't correct the few offbeats. I definitely will in V2.0 hahaha
However I altered synth 4 slightly and made the Hammond sound like a real Hammond by adding Leslie effect (tuned chorus)
I am not an experienced sound technician, Pro Tools 11 is my first experience and I am very happy with it, now just for 1.5 years. However I get many positive comments on my productions since I have started Smile
If I mix I will act following my instincts about how it should sound, helped by the musical and other emotions I get by the actual mix I am making.

Beste listened on a 2.1 satellite set or studio monitors.

I hope you like this mix and master, any constructive comments are welcome, thanks in advance.

Hey dude,

I'm hearing a lot of high mids...like around maybe 3k...in the drums,, as well as a lot of high end stuff in the cymbals. It's a bit fatiguing to the ears. Also, the lead stuff is pretty buried in comparison to the rythym elements. Maybe cut a bit of the high end off the drums and add a bit of high mids to the lead synths?
