Fresh perspective on "Atrophy".
#1
In this mix, I felt it needed to feel large, while also retaining a sense of space. But I was conflicted, so I made two mixes, one dynamic, and one more restrained, however, I believe both of them do a fair job at retaining the sense of space, and the feeling of anticipation.

As for the song, I sort of fell in love with this over the 4 hours or so I spent on this. Proper rock song....

Hi, I only listened to the dynamic mix. My first impression is drums sound really nice, especially toms. There's good attack and depth, I think you've given them the correct weight in the mix (tom vs snare balance primarily)

I haven't examined the multitracks yet, and I'm just comparing yours to three other mixes. Obviously the vocals are difficult, but maybe yours could use more de-essing.

I'm sure it's easier said than done. Tongue
