Joel Touch version Spektakulatius: 'Wayfaring Stranger
#1
Great track guys! I love the pictures that comes with it. I took on the challenge to mix and i limit my self to 30 min, didn't have my HS80ms or Senn HD25 so my Mac speakers would have to do.

Im i live sound engineer and mixed for years so when it comes to studio sound I'm a bit behind but catching up.

Please do listen and let me know what you all think!

All the best

It might be a bit to pushed and hard mastered for jazz, but yeah Smile haha

I agree, slightly too much compression.

I like the overall sound and it has good focus, but I feel that double bass has too much that DI-mic, as it’s playing in different space, and sound too much like, well, DI-mic. It kind of ruins the space. In live situation it wouldn’t be a problem, I guess, as the natural big room and the distance from the speakers would make that bass sound much smoother and natural.

Vox sound is nice but does it have a little bit too much that frequency that emphasises the sound of air flowing in her throat? It makes it sound a little processed.
