Hi Frank I think you are having a phase problem around the spectrum. Do this, don't try to make everything louder you will end up having a tiny mix. don't put bv lauder than the lead vox it will make it hidden and distracting. let the music drive you before you start driving the faders or insert a plugin. take care
Stop collecting plugins and hardware. First understand the tool you got and then look for extension when you reach your limit.
I agree that everything is too loud. Also maybe you put too much reverb. The most important thing in mixing is the balance, not effects. A well balanced mix should be your ultimate goal. Also automation is very important
