Alright. This is my mix of "Dead Roses"
What a great track to mix. All those mics to choose from!!!
Anyway, I gave it my best shot.
Something I found difficult to decide on was the overall loudness of the drums in the mix. Just couldn't make up my mind.
After I post this I'll probably go back and change it again.
And just maybe the bass might be a bit loud or muddy (let me know)
The feel that I wanted was to make it sound like a live studio recording.
I like mixes to be a bit "raw"/ more natural.
I tried to stay away from too much reverb, although I did "let loose" on the electric guitar.
I'm not too familiar with the mastering process. Just applied some limiting to Final Mix.
Please give me your opinions/suggestions on things I could improve on.
