I also was on the fence about the vocal tonality when I originally mixed it. It put a bit of (I believe you called it fuzz) in it and I like the sound of it. Since, as like you, I thought at times it could be a bit much, I pulled back on the verses a bit and let it out more in the choruses to give a little more sparkle (is sparkle a word you use in metal? probably not...) anyway, I think I'm going to leave this one here as is and move onto another song to try in the next week. I'll probably come back to this project in a few months to take another listen with ears that have forgotten the way I've wanted it to sound.
