Once again i timed myself, stopped, and printed the mix at the 2 hour mark. There was definitely a lot left to do with this track and a lot left out but i think tonally this is one of the better 2 hour mixes i have done which is good because that shows improvement. Things i had left that i wanted to work on.....
1. The verse guitars tone compared to the chorus guitar
2. Getting the toms and back up vocals in the mix
3. Fixing the drop in power in the second chorus
4. Spending more time on the bridge
5. The main vocal balance
6. The overall balance of the track
Though i did not fully complete mixing this track i can definitely say that after completing my 5th 2 hour mix i can tell a difference in my skill and that it is getting better. I would definitely recommend doing this to anyone trying to build on what they can already do.
