This track off solid gold 'to hell with poverty' has some of those doubled vocals

From the comments I found this:

"michael mcgrath 5 months ago

.. They influenced loads of bands including U2 and REM and Red hot chili peppers built a career around their sound, bloc party, franz ferdinand, the future heads, rapture, the list is endless, their music was a new language that shocked their contemporaries and their 1979 album 'entertainment' was oneof the most important albums in the last 30 years"

Obviously with 'If you want success' you have to also factor in more modern influences such as RATM.

Here is an early GOF example 'Outside the trains don't run on time'. Very influential. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmiwPZczUy8#

Hope you enjoy it, it has strong links to early funk like sly and the family stone or talking heads

Having look now Thank you !
