Stray Cat's Upper Hand

I agree that the lead vocal is a bit hot, especially at first, it's just a matter of broad automation, to bring it up more gradually I suppose.
The bass could be a touch louder too, I think.
And I've found the panning automation of the lead guitar in the outro a little weird TBH.
But that's me nitpicking of course, as I said, it sounds great!

Patrick,
Thanks for your time and interest. Sometimes I like to grab my audience with something slightly akimbo to tweak their ears a bit, so to speak. I tried the bass at lots of different levels. The one I ended up with allowed the subtleties of the keys, horns and drums to read. I probably spent more time on that part of the mix than any other. As for the pan of the solo guitar on the out, since this is a shuffle or a walk, I imagined the band taking it on down the road. This song struck me as theatrical and visual, another reason for the movement of the guitar on the out. My attempt to be different.
Any chance "How Can I" will be made available here? It is on my Soundcloud and I would love a crack at it.
