What you are hearing is most likely room mice as a mix with very little overheads. Room mice are one of the most important energy pushers of a mix. You're cooking your meal and adding the ingredients. I don't want bland chicken, I want some seasonings, some spices! Horrible room or not they need to be there. I can name a handful of bad rooms off prominent rock albums from the mid 2000's....Not to put a bullet through the head of the engineers working on tracking these projects for this forum, but good sound starts at square one. Polishing turds don't work in this industry. Especially with a sound source as complicated as room mics. As for my LV level... well I think we are just talking preference at this point .
