Hola souldealer, como estas? A mi me parece que los toms están bien. La batería de este tema esta hecha en un vst, no se si samplear un sampler sea una buena opción.
Para tratar con los toms te recomiendo dos cosas, busca en que frecuencia tienen los graves (entre 100hz y 400hz los vas a escuchar) y el ataque (entre los 3khz y los 7khz) y busca desde ahí el sonido que buscas. No hay mucha ciencia en eso

Hi souldealer, how do you do? The toms seems fine to me. The drums of this song is from a vst, so I don't think that putting a sampler over a sampler it's a good option.
To deal with the toms I suggest to find the low resonance ( between 100hz and 400hz) and the attack (between 3k and 7k) and find the sound mixing this two edges.
