I'm new on this site but I'm trying to listen all the mixes here so I can get an idea how to improve mine.
About your mix, I think it had a good HQ even when you say you don't know the genre so well. Nice work there!
But I have to say that the volume was way down, I had to turn my monitors all the way up to barely listen. Try turning the output fader up a little, have no fear
. But I think I understand what you did it that way, the song is very hard to control because the instruments are so loud and closely-miced that the channels are always on red saturation! I had to compress all the instruments a lot. And personally I think it's not very well done by me either. I have posted my mix also. I would very much like to hear your opinion on mine
