This was so much fun to mix, METAAAAAAAL!!! The vocals were nice and strong and with feeling which makes all the difference, guitars sounded great but a bit grating in some freq ranges but a bit of tactical EQing sorted that out. The drums were pretty good, Kick lacked a bit of punch and weight but good otherwise. I used an amp plugin to give the bass a more ballsy driven sound and SC comped from the kick as per usual. The only standout things I did on this were a nice gated reverb on the snare cuz... ya know... 80s! Also I automated the send on long notes of the vox for effect. I panned the solo in parts to give a call and response feel following the phrasing.
