Too Bright_Zachary Young_mix by Tommy Marcinek - tjmtruth - 11-01-2015
This is my interpretation of Zachary Young's song "Too Bright."
I made use of the midi files and created some new and different sounds (added some cellos and strings at the end too). I did a bit of re-arranging and moving some parts around (some bass and guitar parts), giving it what I think was a better focus on the vocal and mood. In this song, the vacillation from an acoustic drum sound (and background arrangement) to a totally electronic drum sound (and feel) was really creative on Zachary's part!!!! I love that about his song!!!!! And, I tried to emphasize both accordingly. However, I thought that some of the electronic things jabbing in and out at seemingly random times were distracting from the vocals. I left some of them in but very few, per se. I took a whole different approach with this and am quite happy with it. Hope ya like too.
