My take on Dead Roses, let me have it! - Groove1987 - 11-06-2014

Evening chaps,

Here's my mix of Dead Roses. It's not my usual genre but I had a really enjoyable time working on it. I hope you enjoy listening to it, please give me any feedback you have.

Cheers!

Hi Groove! I love the way your piano sounds. There's two things that bother me when I'm listening to your mix. First your lead vocal seems panned little bit to the right and should be louder for me. The drums are sounding good but just to upfront imo. Guitars sounds really good too.

Good Job!
Dom

Hi Dom,

Thanks for the feedback, it's great to know it's not too far off the mark then. As you may be able to guess, my usual mix genre is much heavier rock/metal styles hence perhaps the drums being a little on the upfront side - duly noted! For the vocals I was imagining the male and female vocalist standing next to each other and panned them accordingly, but based on your feedback I may automate that to only occur when both are singing simultaneously.

Cheers!

Adam
