Sound on Sound - Mystery (Demo) - Blood_Laker - 02-02-2014
Thats my mix of the Sound on Sound’s ‘Mystery’ (Demo).
Mixdown Info:
— Equilibrate the volume of the tracks.
— Used parametric equalizers to emphasize the essentials regions and attenuate unnecessary frequencies of all tracks and equilibrate them to each other for every instrument/vocal line can be heard clearly, avoiding the masking.
— Single-band compressors, but only when it's really necessary, cause this mix already sounds good at all.
— Added some effects: Kick—Flanger (Light); Snare—Phaser (Light); Clavichord & Synthesizer—Chorus (Heavy).
— Added a convolution reverb to each track to give them brightness and ambience.
Mastering Info:
— Gave a little gain on Upper Mids and Highs.
— Added a multi-band compressor.
— Added a Hard Limiter on -1 dB to give the mix maximum volume without over the VU Meter.
