Eliza Jane Ekim mix V2 - Ekim - 05-03-2020

Hello fellow mixers,

Here's my "Eaglesque" take on this track..
Thanks for listening and for any comments!

Cheers,
Mike

**Updated with better bass control and more body**

Hi Mike, great job on the mix just a few notes from my first listen!

Your low end seems to be rather hefty compared to the higher frequencies; the bass is quite boomy, the guitars quite hollow and the vocal is left without the space it needs to really shine. I'm also wondering if the vocal could do with some more spacial processing (reverb/delay) as it feels quite dry compared to the rest of the track. This will also help bring a more "live" feel to the mix.

Aside from that your dynamics are nicely controlled!

Cheers,

James

Thanks for your reply, compliments, and helpful tips James!
I'm not satisfied with the low end as well, and am currently working on controlling it better..I'll repost when done..
Thanks again!

I agree with everything James said, but I think you've done a very good job nonetheless.
